We were commissioned by Channel 4 to research the challenges in mobility faced by young people in contemporary Britain; as part of the channel’s new season dedicated to the subject. Having conducted well over 14 hours of interviews with 24 kids spread over the rural, provincial, urban and inner city locale, and garnerned the responses of a further 44 of their friends online; we presented our findings at Channel 4 to TV producers, web designers and media types. This presentation was allied with insight deck and a 10,000 page white paper on how issues such as gender, age, post-codes, schools, anti-social behaviour, crime, transport and class all complicate movement and predicate alternative and deep seated ways of thinking when traversing their areas.
