Rants And Raves| By Callum, 17.

Posted by: [email protected] (Kate Searing)

This weeks Rants and Raves have been pulled together by Callum. Callum has been doing work experience with us now for about 3 weeks... I think he's here for good.... No, seriously. But he's been a pleasure. Here's we have 4 Raves and 2 Rants that caught his eye this week...

    RAVES
"What's Your Wild Rabbit?" - Hennessy
"I really like the new Hennessy ad. I think they picked a good person to do it and was shot really well and it is very eye catching."

    Channel TNT - Belgium
"I think this ad is really funny and something that I've never seen before. It feels real but with a funny side to it and just crazy!"

Facebook Buying Instagram FOR $1 BILLION.

    Seen here, thanks.
"I think its a good thing for Facebook to have Instagram, because a lot of people are using Twitter alot more and this could bring them back"
    Arsenal for Citroen
"I don't like Arsenal, but I like this advert."

    RANTS
Jean Paul Gautier for Diet Coke
"I don't think its a good idea for Coke to work with Jean-Paul Gaultier. They're too different and I think that the bottle looks dead and not much thought has gone in to it."
    Borrowed from here, bless.
    Rudimental ft. John Newman
"I think the song is soo bad; It doesn't do the man dancing in it any good and it's just not good at all! Easily mistaken for a car advert."

    Ikea to build cribs?

    Posted by: [email protected] (ItsTheLeak)

To my shock news has arrived of Swedish home furniture giant IKEA will soon beginning work on an 11 hectare neighbourhood in east London called The Strand East. The neighbourhood will feature 1,200 IKEA rental homes, which will be priced to appeal to a range of incomes. A furniture company building entire houses?

As well as the homes, there will be 480,000 sq ft of commercial space, which will be used for creatively-minded businesses, a restaurant, and a hotel. It will also be entirely traffic free (except for buses and emergency services) with drivers being directed straight to an underground garage. Its said that this neighbour won't have an IKEA on site, however it will be built using a scandinavian ethos... such as simplicity, function and efficiency. Which doesnt sound like a bad thing at all...
